During the vernissage on December 10, 2023, at the Castle of the Silesian Piasts in Brzeg, Deputy Voivode of Opole Tomasz Witkowski will present Dr. Łukasz Nawrocki with the Bronze Medal “Gloria Artis” for Merit to Culture. The museum’s deputy director, Anna Stefaniuk-Techmańska, will deliver a laudation honoring the artist’s achievements. The ceremony will be enhanced by musical performances from Jakub Chwastyniak, a student from Małgorzata Jasińska’s piano class at the Ryszard Bukowski State Music School of the 2nd degree in Wrocław, who will perform selected works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Claude Debussy, and Frédéric Chopin. The Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis represents a prestigious decoration awarded to distinguished individuals who have made exceptional contributions to artistic creation, cultural activity, or the protection of culture and national heritage, honoring the most eminent figures in the cultural world.
